Walter Glover (President)
CFO, United States Olympic Committee
Walter Glover has served as Chief Financial Officer of the United States Olympic Committee since January 2005.
As Chief Financial Officer, Glover is tasked with the overall management and supervision of the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, risk management, purchasing operations, warehousing, office services, and retirement plan administration.
Glover joined the USOC in September 2000 as Director of Budgets and Analysis. In May 2002, Glover was named as the organization’s Controller. In the Controller post, he oversaw the USOC’s accounting, financial reporting and budgeting operations in addition to the annual external audit process. He served as Controller until his appointment to the interim Chief Financial Officer position in 2005.
Glover came to the USOC following a 20-year career with Philip Morris USA, where he held various financial management positions, including Southwest Region Director of Finance (1996-2000). While at Philip Morris USA, he was a member of the team in 1996 that implemented the then-largest SAP software system installation in the U.S. He served the dual role of Finance Director and Finance Division Team Leader for the project that had a complement of over 200 employees and consultants, and required two years to fully implement. He was also a member of a three-person team that developed and implemented the first ever comprehensive set of financial payment policies for the 2,000-member national sales force to assist with administering the company’s annual multi-billion dollar sales, merchandising and retail promotion programs.
A Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina since 1978, Glover is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Glover is a cum laude graduate of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C., with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He earned his MBA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., and served four years as an officer in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his work at the USOC, Glover is active with several community organizations, including member of the board of Metropolitan YMCA of Colorado Springs. He is a member of the board and Treasurer for the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, and a member of the board of the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute (CSLI). He previously served as Board Chair for Care and Share Food Bank of southern Colorado He is also a longtime member of Executive Advisory Board for the School of Business at North Carolina A&T State University.
Glover and his wife, Willia, live in Colorado Springs and have two adult children, Kory of Colorado Springs, and Melanie of Charlotte, NC.

Joe V. Aldaz Jr. (Vice President)
Regional Director, Rocky Mountain USO
Joe V. Aldaz Jr. was selected to become the Regional Director of the Rocky Mountain USO effective July 2007. As Regional Director, he provides oversight and management for USO Center operations at Fort Carson and the Denver International Airport.
The USO was founded in 1941 by President Franklin Roosevelt to integrate the efforts of multiple agencies supporting U.S. troops in World War II, and has been lifting the spirits of our service men and women ever since. Today, the USO operates 135 centers around the world, and provides an array of services supporting service members and their families.
Prior to joining the USO, Aldaz was the President and CEO of the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and President and founder of the not-for-profit Colorado Springs STARS B-BALL Academy, the premier youth club basketball organization in the Colorado Springs metropolitan area which provides the opportunity for at-promise middle and high school girls’ and boys’ basketball players within the community to compete at the state and national level. In 2004, he retired from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after a 21 year distinguished career. Aldaz has a history of community leadership, as he was a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership Community Leadership Program and serves on several not-for-profit boards; Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak Prep School, and Board Chair, Colorado Springs STARS B-BALL Academy. He is also the President of the Rocky Mountain USO Advisory Council which supports the development, funding and delivery of the Rocky Mountain USO’s charitable programs and services to members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.
Aldaz is a 1983 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He served as a space operations officer for most of his career culminating as the Director of Athletics and Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School. He earned a Masters Degree in Space Systems Management from Webster University.
Aldaz and his wife, Tami are the parents of two, Alyssa a junior and collegiate basketball player at Colorado College and Steven a junior at Pine Creek High School.
Gary H. Feffer (Treasurer)
Fountain Colony Company
After two years as a retail buyer for Goldwater’s Department Store; a May Company Department Store in Phoenix, Arizona, Gary Feffer joined the Schuck Commercial Brokerage Company in 1983. There he specialized in sales and leasing in the Colorado Springs Central Business District. Grubb & Ellis acquired Schuck in 1985. In 1989 Gary was designated as a Senior Marketing Consultant –an honor awarded to less than ten percent of the national sales force. This award recognizes a high degree of professionalism, leadership, high ethical standards, production and earnings. In 1991, Gary played a principal role in Palmer McAllister acquiring the Colorado Springs branch of Grubb & Ellis.
In 1996, Gary and his partners sold the company to Frederick Ross. Eleven out of thirteen years, Gary was honored as one of the company’s “Top Five” sales agents, being number one in 1989 and 1997. In 1989 he earned the “Top Producer Award” in the Office Division for the Grubb & Ellis Northwest Region (Washington, Oregon and Colorado). He was certified as an active member of the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) in 1992. Gary has been involved in over 950 transactions totaling more than 4,500,000 square feet of sales and leasing activity. In September 2000, Gary established Fountain Colony, LLC in partnership with Griffis/Blessing, Inc., the largest property management company in Colorado Springs. Gary holds a Bachelors Degree in Business and Public Administration from the University of Arizona. Gary’s wife is Kim and has two beautiful children, Sophie and Army.

Wayne Artis (Secretary)
History Professor, Pikes Peak Community College
Wayne Artis received a bachelor’s degree with honors and a master’s degree in history from the University of Delaware, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was a career army air defense artillery officer who served in a variety of assignments in Korea, Italy, Germany and France and also served as a political-military affairs specialist. He joined the adjunct history faculty in 1992 and full-time faculty in 1996 at Pikes Peak Community College and has also served as department chair and interim dean of two instructional divisions. In 2000 his colleagues at Pikes Peak Community College elected him faculty member of the year. From 2000 to 2004 he was the faculty advisor to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education and currently serves on the GE-25 Council implementing the guaranteed transfer core curriculum in higher education in Colorado. Currently at Pikes Peak he teaches the Western Civilization survey courses and a course in 20th Century World History and is Co-chair of the History Department and responsible for transfer relationships with four-year colleges and universities as well as teacher preparation. When not at work, Wayne enjoys riding Lance, a seventeen hand former race horse, walking Train, a wimp Pit Bull, gardening, reading history, and listening to opera.

Jennifer Dodd
Olympic Education Program Lead, U.S. Anti-Doping Agency
Jennifer Dodd is currently the Olympic Education Program Lead at The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). She develops and implements educational initiatives for National Governing Bodies and elite-level athletes. She has been with USADA for the past 2 years. Prior to joining USADA, she worked as a Program Associate within a highly competitive two-year leadership fellowship at El Pomar Foundation. Jennifer earned a BS in Biology at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN.
In addition to her work at USADA, Jennifer is and always has been actively involved in the community. She previously served as a community-based mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, was the Registration Chairperson for the African American Youth Leadership Conference, and at the young at of 16, served as a National Board Member of the N.A.A.C.P. Currently, Jennifer is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - a national community service organization, a Board member of the Colorado Prince Hall Foundation, and the Scholarship Chairperson of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Committee.
Mike Edmonds
VP for Student Life/Dean of Students, Colorado College
Mike Edmonds is currently Vice President for Student Life/Dean of Students at The Colorado College. He has been at Colorado College for the past 19 years. Mike is also a faculty member in the drama/dance department. Prior to joining the Colorado College administration, he was assistant dean of students and adjunct professor of theatre arts at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Edmonds holds a BA degree in theatre arts and a Masters and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, with an emphasis in counseling, also from Ole Miss. He has completed a post-graduate institute at Harvard University.
Dean Edmonds is very active with civic and charitable organizations and is a presenter at conferences and meetings both locally and nationally. Also nationally, he is a member of the Lott Institute Trustees at the University of Mississippi (where he was a 1984 inductee into the University’s Graduate Hall of Fame) and treasurer of Delta Sigma Rho-Tau Kappa Alpha forensics honorary. Regionally, Mike serves as a member of the Great West American Cancer Society board of directors and was appointed by Governor Bill Owens to serve on the fourth district judicial commission of Colorado.
Locally, he is Vice President of the Board of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Pikes Peak United Way Vice Chair, Chair-elect of the United Way Board and past Chair of both the Memorial Health Systems Board of Trustees and the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport Board. Mike is a member of the Trinity Baptist Church deacon board. He is also a Silver Lifetime Member of the NAACP.

Charmas Lee
Founder, Building Better Bodies, Inc.
Charmas Lee is a Colorado Springs native and the founder of Building Better Bodies, a unique business that specializes in High Performance Training for athletes of all ages. Building Better Bodies was established in 1994 intent upon providing a world class service to individuals wanting to experience a higher level of training interested in competing at the next level.
Charmas compliments his Bachelors Degree and 22 years of coaching experience with the following certifications: NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, ACSM-Health and Fitness Specialist, USATF Level III Coach, USATF Level II Coach Sprints, Hurdles, Relays and Endurance. Charmas Lee was voted 2006 “Best in the Springs” Trainer by the Gazette and is one of several coauthors of The Power of Champions.
Charmas is the former Physical Conditioning Specialist to the Air Force Academy Preparatory School and the founder of Speed Track and Field located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Charmas plays a significant role in the development of various amateur and professional athletes across the country.
Barbara J. Winter
Senior Vice President, Organizational Resources, Ent Federal Credit Union
Barbara Winter joined Ent Federal Credit Union in 2001. She is responsible for executive oversight of Human Resources, Payroll, Training, and the Real Estate and Facilities divisions of Ent Federal. She joined Ent after a 28-year career with Colorado Interstate Gas Company, where she last held the position of Assistant Vice President, Human Resources and Administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
Her community activities include: Board of Directors and current Vice Chairman – Pikes Peak United Way; Board Member – Chancellor’s Leadership Class @ the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs; Board Member Emeritus of the Pikes Peak Council – Boy Scouts of America; and member of Executive Women International. She is also a member of the CUNA HR/TD Council. She is a past Board member of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Silver Key Senior Services, Girl Scouts Wagon Wheel Council, Metro Board of the Pikes Peak YMCA (currently serves on the Human Resources Committee), and Board of Directors – Goodwill Industries (currently serves on the Administrative and Compliance Committee).
She is the 2002 recipient of the Athena Award from the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. She was a six-year member and past president of the Colorado State University Alumni Association. She is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership Community Leaders program.
Barbara is married to David Carpenter and they have one high school age daughter, Shelby.
