October 27, 2008 -- Our two-year partnership with Afternoons R.O.C.K. continues this year at 21st Century Charter School. Located at the Paul E. The group also emphasizes physical fitness and offers football camps and karate instruction. Pictured are Karate Award recipients from the program.

The acronym "R.O.C.K." represents the mission of the program to provide Recreation, Object lessons, Culture and values and Knowledge via active and entertaining Focused and Supportive Prevention Activities designed to teach youth about social and media influences, conflict resolution and refusal/resistance skills, gang and violence prevention and the structuring of leisure time to be free of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.

Students are picked up at school and returned to their home by 7pm. Funding for the program is provided by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Mental Health and Addiction. For more information call 219.981.0661.
