Success at the Elementary Spell Bowl

The 21st Century Charter School @ Gary Cougars made an impressive showing at the Elementary Spell Bowl.  Even though it was the school’s inaugural appearance in the Bowl, the students spelled sixteen (16) words correctly, out-spelled other teams, and placed 1st in our class. 

The students did an outstanding job representing the school and proved that the 21st Century Cougars will be a “spelling” force to reckon with next year and beyond.  Mr. Ball, Mrs. McIntosh, and Mr. Gaines sponsored the team. The coaches’ next event will be the Junior Academic Super Bowl on April 30, 2011.
